My life is pretty simple. I’m from a small town in the middle of nowhere. My family is large, rowdy, and very loyal, and I wouldn’t have a clue what to do without them. I grew up reading as many hopeless romance books as I could get my hands on, and that really didn’t change for a long time. But as I’ve matured—which is a nice way of saying I’ve reached middle-age—I find that I like depth to my characters. Strong men and women who aren’t perfect, by any means, but who have common sense and drive. Add in a little steamy forbidden romance, and voilà, the perfect novel!
I honestly don’t know how or when I first began writing. I think it began as a way to relieve stress and catapulted from there.
